I’ve been making videos for as long as I can remember.
Back then it meant roping friends and family into homemade movies with whatever camera I could find, editing on clunky software, and turning every “school project” into a video — no matter what the assignment was. Storytelling through visuals hooked me early and never really let go.
But I didn’t take the traditional film path.
I spent years in the hospitality world running restaurants, building teams, and learning what makes a business actually work. Eventually, my wife and I opened our own place. I loved the business side, but what really lit me up was the creative side — branding, marketing, and finding the story inside a business that people could connect with.
In 2023, everything shifted. We got an unexpected offer to buy our restaurant — too good to refuse — and that was my cue to go all-in on video.
I launched a YouTube channel called Patio Pizza, and it blew up: 9M+ views and consistent monthly income in year one. That experience taught me something huge:
